MAD offers the best scuba diving trips and underwater adventures on the Central Pacific shores of Costa Rica. Our Discover Scuba Diving tour introduces non-divers to basic fundamentals and allows them to experience 2 ocean dives with their private instructor all in one day. We also offer all levels of PADI scuba certifications and scuba diving training.

Michel Lavoie, originally from Montreal, is our resident PADI Course Director, the highest ranking possible within the PADI organization. He brings with him over 20 years of diving experience and is co-author of 'La Plongée Sous-marine', the first and only French Canadian open water diving manual. Michel and his team work very hard to insure the best and safest scuba diving experience.

MAD is committed to sustainable tourism and as such keeps a permanent staff that is 100% Costa Rican. As a course director, Michel is continuously training the staff making sure that they meet only the highest standards in safety and diving. The entire dive staff is DAN, EFR, oxygen provider and defibrillator certified.

MAD voluntarily adheres to the strictest eco-diving practices and is involved in numerous environmental projects within the local community.
